Leather Pride Scarf

This particular scarf tells you way more about the designer than she might want you to know.

Material List

  • 7 skeins Brown Sheep Knitting Worsted in the following colors: 3 skeins Onyx, 3 skeins Dynamite Blue, 1 skein White (or your favorite knitting worsted)
  • 1 40″ circular needle, US7
  • tapestry needle
  • Red embroidery floss
  • Embroidery needle

With black/onyx, cast on 220 stitches. In garter stitch (K every row), knit the following pattern:
6 rows black
6 rows blue
6 rows black
6 rows blue
4 rows white
6 rows blue
6 rows black
6 rows blue
6 rows black
Bind off; weave in ends.

Embroider a big red heart in the upper l/h corner (on whichever side you would like to be the r/s of the scarf), using the upper half of the pattern. Here’s a picture of the real flag for comparison:
